This customer in West Wickham near Bromley had just bought the property to renovate and retire in. This one was quite a big project!
Consisted of removal of all timber fascias etc and replacement with maintenance free PVC, re-cement of all gables. The red tile hung at front and rear was all stripped away. We then installed a breathable membrane to the block work, then 4inch timber batoning at 600mm centres. In between the batoning we installed 75mm Foil backed insulation boards as the house was built in the 60’s with very little insulation.
Once that’s done we then proceeded to install the Marley Eternit cement based cladding which not only gives the impression of a real wood due to the wood grain mouldings but comes with a 50-year guarantee.
Customer was delighted with the finished result as his house went from a tired looking out of date late 60’s property to a modern fresh looking contemporary property.
Mark was pleasant and friendly and completed the job on time and in budget.
